"My baby daughter is a miracle!"

My gynecologist always told me I would never be able to have children due to my age and large fibroids, and he recommended a hysterectomy.

While driving from my home in Quebec City to vacation in Mexico, I saw a billboard in Houston for SightLine Health and magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound ablation. My fiancé, Thomas, and I called and booked an appointment for an MRI. It showed that I was a candidate for the procedure.

Although it has only been about six weeks since the MR-guided focused ultrasound treatment of my two rather large tumors (9.5 cm, posterior wall, and 4.3 cm, lower uterine segment), several of my symptoms have almost disappeared. I've bled significantly less during my two post-treatment menstruation cycles, and am quickly regaining my overall strength. My ability to twist and bend at the waist are no longer restricted by the presence of big, hard tumors in my uterus, and my digestive system is functioning normally again. My recovery time after the procedure was only a few days and just two weeks after the procedure, my husband and I traveled to the wet and freezing Seattle coastline to enjoy some birding.
